Job description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of accounting activities across the Nordic and Baltic region. This is a key technical accounting role reporting directly to the CFO, offering broad regional exposure and the opportunity to help shape and strengthen a growing in-house finance function.

This position is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who can provide leadership through expertise, governance, and ownership rather than through direct people management.

The Opportunity

You will act as the accounting owner across multiple Nordic and Baltic entities, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, supporting business growth, and providing clear reporting and insight to senior management.

Working closely with regional stakeholders and Group Finance, you will drive high standards of accounting, controls, governance, and reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of statutory accounting and financial compliance across Nordic and Baltic entities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, year-end, statutory, and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as the regional accounting expert, advising on Nordic accounting regulations and ensuring compliance with local requirements.
  • Coordinate accounting activities across multiple countries and legal entities.
  • Lead interactions with external auditors and ensure audit readiness across the region.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and the CFO.
  • Strengthen governance, controls, documentation, and accounting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, standardisation, and automation.
  • Support the ongoing development and maturity of the internal accounting function.
About You

We are looking for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and the confidence to take ownership of a regional accounting function.

You will likely bring
  • Around 7+ years' accounting experience within a multinational, multi-entity, or international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Nordic accounting standards, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working across multiple Nordic countries, rather than solely within Norway.
  • A solid understanding of financial controls, governance, and external audit processes.
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar platform.
  • The ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and present accounting matters clearly to management.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a mindset focused on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in English. Additional Nordic language skills would be advantageous.
