Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible; must pass registry within 1 year if eligible.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders, verifying identity, and obtaining medical histories.
• Perform radiology examinations on all age groups and maintain clinical competency.
• Adhere to policies and standards to ensure quality patient care and operations.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper use of protective measures.
• Supervise students and support the Radiology cross-training program.
