Job summary

SLB OneSubsea is seeking an R&D Automation Engineer to join the NPD team at Horsøy, Askøy. You will design, develop, test and implement software and hardware for our test facility, working on data acquisition, control systems, and on-site commissioning.

The role offers freedom to pursue innovative solutions across PLC, HMI, SCADA, MATLAB or C, with strong collaboration across disciplines and a focus on sustainable energy outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Cybernetics or Automation is preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMIs/SCADA.
• Fluent English, strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop data acquisition and control systems for performance and reliability.
• Write code and modify PLC and HMI programs.
• Assist in on-site commissioning and provide technical support.
• Document control programs and configurations for maintenance.
