Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Quantity Surveyor based in London to work for a Regional Civil Contractor. You will manage cost reporting, procurement schedules, and contract administration while ensuring financial forecasts and submissions. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering and relevant commercial experience. This position involves travel to various project sites when needed.

Qualifications

  • Progressed from a commercial background.
  • Previously worked in Civil sectors.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Valuations/Applications for Payment.
  • Prepare Cost Reports for Clients.
  • Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
  • Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts.
  • Handle contract administration.
  • Maintain project risk and opportunities schedule.
  • Conduct procurement for project sections.
  • Ensure clarity in procurement allowances.
  • Perform financial reporting for projects.
  • Prepare cash forecasts and quarterly forecasts.

Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks

Salary: £40k - £65k + Pkg DOE
Location: London
Regions: Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, London, South East

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work for a Regional Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing in RC Frame, Structures and Groundworks-based projects. The role will be based in London, with the candidate expected to travel intermittently to various London project sites when required.

Relevant Qualifications needed:

  • Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
  • Progressed steadily from a commercial background
  • Previously worked on Civil sectors
  • Chartered or Working towards Chartership

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment
  • The preparation of Cost Reports to the Client
  • The preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
  • The administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts
  • Contract administration, including change management and maintaining associated registers.
  • Maintaining project risk and opportunities schedule
  • Procurement for project/section of works
  • Ensuring all involved in procurement for project understand allowances for items they are responsible for and the procedures to be followed
  • Financial reporting for project/section of works
  • Preparing cash forecast
  • Preparing quarterly forecasts
