Job summary

NordicNeuroLab, based in Bergen, Norway, is seeking a QA Technician to ensure materials, components, and products meet quality standards. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to maintain traceability and compliance in a hands-on production setting.

The role focuses on inspections, documentation, non-conformances, and continuous quality improvement, with exposure to regulated environments and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of components, assemblies, and materials.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of PCBAs, electronic components, optical parts, and mechanical parts.
• Perform functional testing of products and assemblies according to established procedures prior to release.
• Review production documentation and Device Production Records (DPRs) to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Identify, document, and follow up quality deviations and non‑conformances (NCRs).
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions in production related areas.
• Ensure manufacturing and inspection activities are performed according to approved procedures.
• Support calibration and maintenance activities for production and test equipment.
• Assist with environmental monitoring activities where applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and documentation.
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maintain compliance and product quality.

About the Role

As a QA Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that materials, components, and products meet established quality requirements before they reach NordicNeuroLabs’ customers. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality functions to maintain high standards of quality, traceability, and compliance.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with documentation, inspections, quality control activities, and continuous improvement in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of components, assemblies, and materials.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of PCBAs, electronic components, optical parts, and mechanical parts.

Qualifications

Required

• Technical education, vocational training, or relevant practical experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production, QA, or QC environment.
• Experience performing inspections, quality checks, or documentation review.
• Ability to read and follow procedures, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred

• Experience as a QA Technician, QC Technician, Quality Inspector, or similar role.
• Experience from regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, Automotive, or related sectors.
• Experience with ERP, eQMS, or other quality management systems.
• Knowledge of NCR handling, traceability requirements, and quality documentation.
• Experience inspecting electronic products, PCBAs, or technical assemblies.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
• Experience using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer or microscopes.
