Job summary

MDE Østlandet is seeking a Quality Engineer to turn precision into quality across complex projects. You will define and maintain measurement procedures, perform audits, and lead calibration strategies to assure product conformity.

Your role includes NC handling, root cause investigations, and collaboration with production to drive improvements. You will participate in engineering documentation reviews and provide training on quality standards to the team.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent background.
• Solid knowledge of quality management systems and metrology.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with measurement tools including CMM, Laser Tracker, Vision equipment, calipers, and gauges.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP ERP, and metrology/statistics software.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control: initiates, develops and maintains measurement and inspection procedures, guidelines, standards, and methods for product monitoring.
• Drive, implement and execute process improvement initiatives.
• Leads development, implementation, and optimization of metrology and calibration processes.
• Develop and implement metrology strategies to optimize measuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs MSA (Measuring System Analysis).
• Inspections and audits of components and finished products.
• Audits of production processes and documentation for compliance and improvements.
• Document results and findings after inspections and audits.
• First Article Inspection.
• Engineering review of new and revised production related documentation and drawings.
• Training and mentoring to inspection and production team on quality standards.
