Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a long-term assignment in the Kongsberg area, Norway. You will ensure product quality, improve manufacturing processes, and support operational excellence across cross-functional teams.

As a key contributor, you will lead measurement, calibration, and non-conformance activities, document findings, and drive root cause analysis with a structured approach. Proficiency in Norwegian and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and metrology principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
• Experience conducting product and process audits.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a structured approach to documentation.
• Experience with SAP ERP and metrology/statistical software.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve measurement and inspection procedures, standards, and methods.
• Drive and implement process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of metrology and calibration processes.
• Develop measurement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Perform inspections and audits of components and finished products.
• Document findings and recommend improvement actions.
• Coordinate non-conformances, material rejections, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
