Job summary

Aquabyte in Bergen is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to join our mission-driven team. You will review data from customers, maintain data quality, and help ensure our fish-farming customers succeed with cutting-edge tech.

This role offers collaboration across product and engineering, fieldwork expectations, and opportunities to shape a growing company that uses underwater cameras, computer vision, and ML to optimize farming practices.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of fish biology and fish welfare.

Responsibilities

Our product

We are currently focused on helping Norwegian salmon farmers better understand their fish populations and make environmentally-sound decisions. Through custom underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning we are able to quantify fish weights, detect sea lice infestations, and generate optimal feeding plans in real time. Our product operates at three levels: on-site hardware for image capture, cloud pipelines for data processing, and a user-facing web application. As a result, there are hundreds of moving pieces and no shortage of fascinating challenges across all levels of the stack.

The role

Minimum Qualifications

Bonus Qualifications

• BS/MS in aquaculture or technical aquaculture degree
• Previous experience working with fish in an aquaculture setting
