Job summary

Jefferson Wells in Rogaland, Norway, seeks a seasoned Quality & Risk Manager to lead governance, QA plans, and risk control across oil and energy projects. You will coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure timely closure of deviations and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering/science, 10+ years in quality or risk management, ISO knowledge, fluent English, and strong communication to influence teams.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or science degree at bachelor’s or master’s level.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience in quality and/or risk management in the oil and gas or energy industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 31000.
  • Fluent English; Norwegian is an advantage.
  • Structured, solution-oriented, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Strong communication with ability to influence and motivate.
  • Independent and takes ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and handle risks and criticalities; follow up risk-reducing actions.
  • Handle quality incidents, changes, nonconformities, deviations; close actions.
  • Participate in process performance analysis, root cause analysis, and quality incident investigations; share lessons learned.
  • Monitor QRM targets, KPIs and trends; drive continuous improvement.
  • Set up and follow quality assurance plans per internal audits and other units.
  • Represent QRM in contracting and supplier follow-up.
  • Plan and carry out quality and risk campaigns.
  • Provide hands-on support to assets; follow up deviations and actions to closure.
  • Be part of project leadership to ensure projects align with the management system.
  • Lead governance within a project, collaborating with project control, suppliers, and partners.
  • Collaborate with the extended QRM network.

Job description

  • Be part of the project leadership team and make sure the project is planned and run in line with the company management system and project development model
  • Lead quality and risk governance within a project, working closely with project control, suppliers, and partners
  • Cooperate extensively with the extended QRM network
Qualifications:
  • A relevant engineering or science degree at bachelor's or master's level
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Experience in quality and/or risk management in the oil and gas or energy industry
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, e.g. ISO 9001 and ISO 31000
  • Fluent English, written and spoken,Norwegian is an advantage
  • Structured and solution-oriented, with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Good communication skills, and able to influence and motivate others
  • Works independently and takes ownership
