Job description

Glamox Production Molde (GPM) is looking for a dedicated and proactive QHSE Manager to play a key role in upholding and enhancing our commitment to quality and safety. As a premium supplier of professional lighting solutions, quality is at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you will be instrumental in securing and continuously improving the high standards we are known for.

As our QHSE Manager, you will lead and develop QHSE initiatives that enhance safety, sustainability, and quality, ensuring our philosophy is embedded across the organization. You will be a key driver of risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement to uphold our high industry standards. This is a central and influential role where you will be actively involved in setting and following up on strategic goals, and make a real impact on our employees, customers, and products worldwide.

The QHSE Manager reports to the Factory/Plant Manager and has personnel responsibility for two employees: a Sustainability Engineer and a Claim Engineer. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Group QHSE Manager to align local initiatives with company-wide strategies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk management: Ensure risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated while fostering a culture of awareness and improvement.
  2. Governing system: Maintain, develop and enhance the management system to meet ISO requirements.
  3. Compliance and audits: Oversee internal and external audits, including those with suppliers. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  4. Quality management: Represent GPM in QHSE matters with customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.
  5. Employee engagement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  6. Crisis Management: Lead GPM’s industrial safety and fire safety initiatives, and advise on QHSE matters.

Who are we looking for:

You are a strong and inspiring leader who thrives in a structured and solution-oriented environment. You excel at collaboration, building strong relationships across all levels of the organization, and driving continuous improvement. Service-minded and customer-focused, you ensure high-quality solutions while fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Most importantly, you contribute to an engaging and positive work environment where teamwork and innovation thrive.

Desired qualifications:

  1. Relevant higher education, preferably in a technical field. Extensive experience can compensate for the lack of formal qualifications.
  2. Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements related to QHSE.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, spoken and written.

Why Glamox:

Joining Glamox means becoming part of a global company where you will take on varied and challenging tasks that foster continuous development and learning. You will thrive in an informal yet highly professional work environment, characterized by strong collaboration and commitment to quality and continuous improvement. We offer competitive terms, along with attractive pension and insurance schemes, ensuring stability and security for our employees. Here, your contributions will make a real impact, and you will have the opportunity to grow in a company that values innovation, quality, and excellence.
