Overview

Job Offer: QC Supervisor

Location: Bergen, Norway

Mobilization: October/November

Duration: 24 months (with possibility of extension)

We are currently searching for an experienced QC Supervisor with a strong background in road construction for a major infrastructure project in Norway.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and/or prepare aggregate and asphalt samples for analysis.
• Perform field and laboratory tests throughout various stages of the construction project and report results in a clear and timely manner.
• Complete daily records related to paving operations: paving limits, placement and rolling temperatures, rolling patterns, tonnages, weather, and other influencing factors.
• Visually inspect aggregates for clay, shale, or soft rock, and inspect asphalt for segregation.
• Conduct, document, and maintain records of plant calibrations.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Supervise and coordinate a team of Quality Supervisors.
• Work closely with construction inspectors and supervisors to ensure tasks are executed in compliance with specifications and standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QC Supervisor, ideally in road construction or large civil works.
• Background in construction engineering or a similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge of international standards and regulations related to construction quality control.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ShareFile, and Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Quality Control or Quality Management.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
