Job summary

Vard Electro AS is seeking a Purchaser to join our international team. The role focuses on supporting procurement activities, converting requisitions to orders, and maintaining SAP/ERP data.

Qualifications

• Higher education in procurement, supply chain, business, economics, or a related field

Duties and responsibilities

• Support and execute procurement activities across the procurement organization, in close cooperation with category owners
  • Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders, ensuring correct commercial and delivery information.
  • Support supplier negotiations and Framework Agreements, Price Lists and other commercial agreements, including contract review.
  • Collect and evaluate offers, including price and commercial analysis.
  • Support volume, spending and purchasing data analysis.
  • Follow up supplier performance, deliveries and other purchasing activities.
  • Support commercial and contractual topics, including Terms & Conditions and payment terms.
  • Follow up and resolve purchasing-related deviations and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement data and support efficient processes.
  • Ensure relevant supplier, pricing and delivery information is accurately maintained in SAP/ERP.
  • Support invoice and PO-related processes and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Depending on experience and business needs, the role may develop towards increased responsibility for defined procurement activities or purchasing areas.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education within procurement, supply chain, business, economics or a related field.
• Relevant experience from purchasing, procurement or supply chain, preferably in an industrial, maritime or project-based environment.
• Good commercial understanding and negotiation skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in both Norwegian and English.
• The position offers good opportunities to develop further within procurement, with increasing responsibility based on experience, performance and business needs.
