Job summary

The Town of Natick is seeking a Part-Time Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol assigned areas, enforce parking regulations, and promote public compliance with local ordinances. This position requires professionalism, courtesy, and consistent enforcement.

The role is up to 30 hours per week, with Saturdays required. Starting salary is $20.00 per hour, with a full range to $34.50; benefits eligibility applies for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Massachusetts driver's license.
• Ability to walk long distances daily.
• Ability to pass CORI background check.
• Strong understanding of parking regulations and clear explanations.
• Good judgment and courteous interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Issue citations and warnings with a handheld device.
• Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of violations.
• Communicate with the Police Department using two-way radio or cell phone.
• Respond to dispatch calls regarding parking violations and concerns.
• Coordinate with Traffic Division on ticketing or towing decisions.
• Report damaged meters, kiosks, or signage.
• Operate assigned equipment and respond to public inquiries politely.
• Safely operate a Town vehicle when required.
• Perform related duties in support of Town operations.
