We are recruiting an experienced and committed psychiatrist for a permanent full-time position at a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic within the specialist mental health services.
The position is located in central Eastern Norway, and is part of a well-established psychiatric clinic that serves a broad population across the region.
The psychiatric clinic is organized into three departments and provides both outpatient and inpatient services for patients with complex mental health and substance use disorders. The clinical work is varied and interdisciplinary, and you will play a key role in a collaborative and supportive team.
While you will have a fixed office location, the role also includes ambulatory services to patients in their home municipalities, participation in municipal care meetings, and occasional work at other locations within the health trust.
Main responsibilitiesAssessment and treatment of patients with psychosis and other complex psychiatric disorders
Full responsibility for patient care throughout the treatment process
Interdisciplinary collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
Participation in clinical meetings and ongoing quality improvement
Supervision and training of residents and other healthcare professionals
Ensure proper documentation in line with clinical and legal standardsDriving is required due to the ambulatory nature of the position
European authorization as a medical professional
European specialist approval in psychiatry
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with motivation to learn Norwegian
Broad experience in psychiatry with strong competence in the treatment of psychosis
Strong professional engagement and a desire to contribute to the development of services
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
High work capacity and structured work style
