Elopak is seeking a Project Engineer – Board Development to advance paperboard solutions for liquid packaging. You will work at the intersection of materials science, innovation, and product performance, developing and validating boards for cartons.

The role involves collaboration with global teams and suppliers, with travel ~40–60 days annually within Europe. The position is based at the Corporate Office in Spikkestad, Norway, housing a specialists team focused on board development.

Formación

• M.Sc., M.Eng., or M.Tech. in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Relevant industrial experience in materials, packaging, process development, or related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus but not required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; legal work authorization required.

Responsabilidades

• Board Development & Innovation: Develop and improve paperboard materials used in cartons for performance, quality, and recyclability.
• Testing & Validation: Plan, execute, and evaluate testing throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Technical Problem Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges in development and testing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams, suppliers, and customers globally to introduce new board grades.
• Method Development & Documentation: Develop testing methodologies and document technical reports clearly.
• Technical Support & Knowledge Building: Provide technical support to production plants and market units and stay updated on new materials and industry trends.
