Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in civil/environmental engineering with a strong focus on urban water systems.
  • Strong knowledge of urban water system modelling, monitoring and management, including urban drainage or water distribution.
  • Experience planning, managing and executing measurement and field campaigns.
  • Educational experience in higher education.
  • Proficient communication skills in English and Norwegian/Scandinavian language skills at level B2.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lectures, labs and seminars and supervise Bachelor, Master and PhD students.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research on hydraulic networks, resilience, and data analytics.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences; secure external funding.
  • Prepare large-scale proposals and develop strategic projects.
  • Expand national and international research networks.
  • Participate in university research community and committees.
  • Perform administrative duties related to education, research and innovation.
