Job summary

ISS STOXX is seeking a Sustainability Product Manager to develop and execute a SaaS product roadmap for benchmarking, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting solutions for global corporations.

The role focuses on cloud-based sustainability reporting products for executives and sustainability teams, with collaboration across Product, Research, Data Strategy, Development, Client Advisory, Sales, and Marketing.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability management, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g. supervised learning, NLP, predictive analytics) and their application in enterprise software.
  • Experience in scrum/agile environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the life cycle of products from strategic planning to tactical execution.
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements.
  • Define the product vision and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI/ML capabilities across sustainability products, including data automation and analytics.

ISS-Corporate (ICS) is seeking an experienced Sustainability Product Manager to develop and execute on our SaaS product roadmap for a suite of benchmarking, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting solutions for corporations. The product manager will focus primarily on managing cloud-based sustainability reporting products for the C-suite and sustainability departments of publicly listed and privately held companies across the globe, with the primary users being heads of Sustainability programs, General Counsels, Corporate Secretaries, heads of Investor Relations, and in some instances CEOs and members of the board of directors. The ideal candidate will use their creativity and industry expertise to build and manage solutions for ICs industry-leading products and services. The Sustainability Product Manager will be a central part of the product team and manage the sustainability reporting solution, leading product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with colleagues in Product and Project Management, Research, Data Strategy, Development, Client Advisory, Sales and Marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Key Objectives
  • Manage the life cycle of products, from strategic planning to tactical execution.
  • Solicit external market/client feedback on products through user groups, client consultations, beta programs.
  • Assess industry trends, market size, and needs through market research and competitive intelligence assessments.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to embed AI/ML capabilities across sustainability products, including automation of data collection, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Drive action across distinct functional teams, from product conception through launch.
  • Develop detailed business and functional requirement documents and specifications.
  • Develop product illustrations, prototypes, and supporting presentations based on an understanding of the user experience.
  • Gather and break down abstract and complex concepts into business and functional requirements that can be understood by stakeholders including end users, developers, and testers.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Background Requirements
  • Background as a product manager is required, preferably in a scrum/agile environment.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in a corporate environment, a background in sustainability is a bonus but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability management, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g. supervised learning, NLP, predictive analytics) and their application in enterprise software.
