Job summary

reTyre AS in Ski, just outside Oslo, is building the world’s first sustainable tire factory and seeks a hands-on Process Engineer with management skills. You’ll lead a small shift of operators on the shop floor, test and optimize processes, and ensure reliable machine performance as we scale.

The role blends technical execution with leadership in a fast-moving startup-like environment. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams, develop SOPs, document improvements, and drive

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with production machinery and process optimization.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Proactive and adaptable in a start-up environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Decision making abilities. Team coordination and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate production processes and machine settings.
• Continuously improve process efficiency and stability.
• Diagnose and resolve process and machine-related issues promptly.
• Create and maintain SOPs and process documentation. Actively work on machines to implement improvements and ensure optimal performance.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and R&D teams to support industrialization and quality initiatives.
• Be the responsible leader on the shift.
