Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders and drill presses.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine specifications for metal pieces.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for each job.
• Measure and mark out metal pieces according to specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of measurements.
• Cut, shape or bend metal pieces using turning, drilling, milling or grinding techniques.
• Inspect finished pieces for quality control.
