Job summary

University of Oslo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Collaborative Learning and AI in higher education. The position is a 3- or 4-year appointment in the Department of Education, anchored in the KITE research group and TRUST AI initiatives.

Candidates will investigate how AI tools affect student learning across knowledge domains and learning theories. The role includes design-based research, collaboration with senior researchers, and job duties that may include teaching up to 25%

Qualifications

• PhD in learning sciences, educational sciences, educational psychology or human-computer interactions studies.
• PhD thesis focus includes learning theory, cognitive theories with applications to learning, design of learning environments, design-based research methods, and AI in higher education.
• English proficiency is required; Norwegian fluency is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a DBR study on interaction between collaborative learning and AI tools and infrastructures.
• Collaborate in the KITE research group and with other research teams at the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
• Develop a career plan and build a research profile to qualify for a future associate professor position.
• Engage in teaching duties up to 25% for a four-year appointment.
