Job summary

The University of Oslo invites applications for a three to four-year full-time PhD Research Fellow in Special Needs Education within Inclusive Education in Kindergartens/Schools. The position is based at the Department of Special Needs Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences.

The fellow will write an article-based PhD thesis and conduct theoretical and empirical research, contributing to the CoDev project and strengthening inclusive education in Norwegian kindergartens and schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in education or special needs education.
• Bachelor’s degree with minimum grade C (ECTS).
• Master’s degree with a 30 ECTS thesis and minimum grade B.
• For 5-year studies, average grade C or better; master thesis grade B.
• Fluent oral and written English and Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language).

Responsibilities

• Write an article-based PhD thesis and conduct theoretical and empirical research.
• Produce research on professionals’ approaches to inclusive education and professional development.
• Contribute to the CoDev project within the Department of Special Needs Education.
