Job summary

The University of Oslo invites applications for a three to four-year full-time PhD Research Fellow in Special Needs Education, based at the Department of Special Needs Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences. The research will focus on counselling in special needs education to promote participation and well-being.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in education, psychology or related field, strong English and Norwegian skills, and a rigorous methodological approach.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, special needs education, psychology or related field.
  • Strong command of English and Norwegian (or a Scandinavian language).
  • Demonstrated methodological rigour and statistical thinking.
  • Wamiliarity with quantitative or mixed-methods research approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake research training and contribute to doctoral projects in special needs education.
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary research groups and with external partners.
  • Develop and implement research designs, data collection and analysis.
  • Disseminate findings through publications, seminars and conferences.
