The University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) invites applications for a four-year PhD Research Fellow position in Hydropower generators securing electricity supply and grid resilience, starting January 1, 2027, located in Porsgrunn. The role is part of the EPS research group within TNM and is funded by the SecurEL center.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree and meet English and Norwegian language requirements.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency in English; some Norwegian language skills required.

Responsabilités

• Carry out PhD research as part of the SecurEL project.
• Publish findings and present at meetings.
• Balance 75% research duties with 25% teaching duties.
