Job summary

The University of Southeast Norway (USN) invites applications for a PhD Research Fellow in Hydropower generators to strengthen electricity supply and grid resilience. The position is 100% tenure-track, located in Porsgrunn, with 75% research and 25% teaching duties within the EPS group.

Applicants should have a Norwegian master’s degree (120 ECTS) or equivalent, possess strong modeling and optimization skills, and document English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Weighted average grade B or higher is usually required.
• English proficiency documented unless exempted.
• Norwegian language skills at minimum B2 level required.

Responsibilities

• 75% research duties and 25% teaching duties for four years.
• Work in EPS research group within Department of Electrical Engineering, IT, and Cybernetics.
• Enroll in USN’s PhD-program within three months of accession.
