Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Geophysics, Earth Science, or Atmospheric Science, completed before start.
  • Knowledge of Cryospheric Processes and English proficiency.
  • Experience with scientific coding and data analysis (Python/MATLAB).
  • Experience with snow models or climate models is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop/test model parameterizations for blowing snow in mountain areas.
  • Lead field campaign studies combining observations and modelling.
  • Produce mass-balance simulations to aid hydrological and ecological assessments.
  • Contribute to climate and snow research within the Centre for Mountains in Transition.
