Job Details
A three-year PhD fellowship is available at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University (Bodø, Norway), connected to Genomics division. The successful candidate will study the effect of environmental modulation on gametic and early developmental epigenome and epitranscriptome. The project uses next- and third-generation sequencing technologies to generate the data. Zebrafish is a model organism. Computing big datasets will be an essential part of the project. The following problems will be investigated:
- the effect of cryopreservation on sperm DNA modifications
- the effect of temperature on mitochondrial epigenome and epitranscriptome during early development
- the effect temperature on oocyte epitranscriptome
