Job summary

Integreat - Norwegian Centre for Knowledge-driven Machine Learning at the University of Oslo invites applications for a doctoral research fellow in Machine Learning and Statistics. The project explores deep learning based synthetic data generators with focus on privacy, fairness and utility, integrating methods from statistics, ML and ethics.

The fellowship spans three years with a potential fourth year for career development activities such as teaching or supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, data science, mathematics, or related field.
• Foreign completed degree (M.Sc.-level) corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct doctoral research in machine learning and statistics within Integreat.
• Develop deep learning based synthetic data generators with emphasis on privacy, fairness and utility.
• Collaborate across departments (Mathematics, Informatics) and international partners.
