To support contract delivery, Leonardo has established a multidisciplinary in-country liaison team responsible for coordinating and delivering all contractual requirements to ensure optimum Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopter availability.

The liaison team is led by the Key Account Manager (KAM). Reporting directly to the KAM, the Performance Officer & HSE Advisor will play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and reporting contract performance, ensuring compliance with contractual performance requirements and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

The role also includes responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management activities, supporting the organisation's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Main Objectives

Responsible for:

Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the NAWSARH contractual performance requirements and associated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework.

Monitoring, analysing, and reporting programme performance against contractual KPIs.

Preparing and presenting performance reports for internal and customer reviews.

Coordinating and managing HSE activities in support of programme objectives and regulatory compliance.

Identifying risks to contract performance and driving improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Management

Prepare and deliver KPI reports, dashboards, and customer presentations in a timely manner, demonstrating performance against all contractual KPIs, with particular emphasis on aircraft availability as the primary performance measure.

Promote a clear understanding of KPI requirements, performance expectations, and contractual obligations across the team and supporting functions.

Act as the primary liaison with the commercial department and the customer on all KPI-related matters, including calculations, reporting methodologies, and contractual interpretations.

Conduct thorough investigations into KPI deviations, identifying and documenting root causes and contributing factors.

Drive the implementation of containment, corrective, and preventive actions to restore and maintain KPI compliance.

Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and provide regular updates on performance recovery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities to improve service delivery and contract outcomes.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Monitor and continuously improve HSE processes, procedures, and performance to strengthen compliance, effectiveness, and safety culture.

Lead the planning, facilitation, and review of HSE risk assessments across all relevant activities.

Manage Safety Data Sheet (SDS) processes, ensuring hazards are identified, risks assessed, and appropriate control measures implemented.

Coordinate and manage the Occupational Health Programme in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies.

Administer the First Aid Training Programme, ensuring sufficient trained personnel are available and qualifications remain current.

Define and oversee Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, ensuring suitable equipment is available, maintained, and used correctly.

Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related communications, promoting awareness, engagement, and compliance throughout the organisation.

Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HSE matters, ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of five years' relevant professional experience, including at least two years within aircraft maintenance, aircraft operations, a related aviation environment or other relevant experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in ICT systems and business applications.

Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Flexible and responsive to customer needs, including changing priorities and short-notice requirements.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

High levels of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.

Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Experience working with KPI management, contract performance frameworks, or service-level agreements.

Knowledge of aviation safety management systems (SMS) and HSE best practices.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will undertake an initial training programme in the UK followed by on-the-job training in Sola, Norway, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the NAWSARH programme and Leonardo's operational processes.
