Job summary

CHC Helicopter Service AS is recruiting for Engineer / Aircraft Mechanic roles at Sola, near Stavanger, Norway. This full-time, permanent position joins a world-leading helicopter service dedicated to offshore energy, search and rescue, and critical missions across five continents.

The base in Sola serves demanding environments with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance. The role requires a skilled worker certificate in avionics or aircraft mechanics and an EASA B1.3 and/or B2 license.

Qualifications

  • Skilled worker certificate avionics or aircraft mechanic.
  • EASA Licensed B1.3 and/or B2 Engineer.
  • Type ratings for Sikorsky S92 and/or AW189 preferred.
  • English and Norwegian proficiency; strong communication.
  • Good computer skills; AMOS MRO software familiarity; COSHH awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the required authorisations for aircraft and aircraft components maintained in their area.
  • Responsible for the quality of work carried out by themselves and/or non-certifying technicians under their supervision.
  • Responsible for the accurate compilation of documentation and the certification of maintenance carried out within the scope of their authority.
  • Ensuring that all documentation used during maintenance is of the correct revision status.
  • Ensuring that they remain current with all amendments to Company Procedures/Manuals and all other relevant technical data provisioned.
  • Ensuring that all tools used during maintenance are properly controlled.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area’s under their control.
  • Work in compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the company IT systems are updated, and ensure proper reporting.
  • May perform other duties as assigned within areas of responsibility.

CHC Helicopter Service AS is looking to recruit for multiple roles as Technicians and/or Skilled Workers at our base located in Sola (Stavanger).

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Essential

  • Skilled worker certificate avionics or aircraft mechanic
  • EASA Licensed B1.3 and / or B2 Engineer

Desirable

  • Applicants with type ratings for Sikorsky S92 and/or AW189 will be preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian (or other Scandinavian language)
  • Good computer skills.
  • Experience of AMOS MRO software is an advantage
  • Awareness of MSDS and COSHH requirement
