Job Title: Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of payroll processes with precision and compliance with service and performance objectives. The ideal candidate will be meticulous in verifying, processing, and maintaining payroll programs, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Collect, verify, process, and monitor monthly payroll information specific to the assigned country or region.
- Off-Cycle Processing: Plan, coordinate, and implement off-cycle payroll processing and reporting.
- Record Maintenance: Ensure accurate and concise payroll records are kept for audit and compliance purposes.
- Query Resolution: Respond promptly to payroll-related queries and tickets, providing efficient resolutions.
- Legislative Changes: Monitor legislative changes, update tax rules, and collaborate with the Payroll team to recommend necessary changes.
- Vendor and Government Liaison: Actively partner with external payroll vendors and government institutions regarding social security administration, pensions, etc.
- Data Protection: Adhere to strict data protection standards when managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Global Collaboration: Assist in global payroll initiatives and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing and management.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Professionalism & Relationship Building: Ability to foster a sense of professionalism and relationship building for self and team.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Self-Motivation: A self-starter with a sense of urgency who works well under pressure.
- Team Leadership: Ability to mentor, coach, and provide direction to a team of employees. Lead the team in multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting timelines on deliverables.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
