University of Utah Health seeks a patient care associate to provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and support a safe, clean environment across shifts in a 24/7 health system.

Responsibilities include documenting direct care data, communicating with staff and families, and performing clerical tasks as needed while maintaining flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualificações

• Enrollment in nursing program with 3 months from RN completion to obtain license.
• If RN licensed, must obtain CNA certification within 3 months.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One of the following: current Nursing Assistant certification or enrollment in approved nursing education program.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients with feeding, mobility, grooming, toileting, dressing, and daily activities.
• Reinforce or educate patients and families as delegated by care providers.
• Collect, report and document data related to direct patient care.
• Support indirect care activities: clean, safe environment, transport, clerical tasks.
• Stock and maintain clerical and patient supplies; communicate with staff and visitors.
• Process orders during downtime in clerical role and enter downtime times.
• May process electronic requests for treatments and tests and retrieve lab results.
• May schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records/boards.
• Manage admits, discharges and transfers as per unit policy.
• Observe cardiac monitor and alert staff of abnormal rhythms.
• Be prepared to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
