Job summary

Prestige Greeters in Svalbard is seeking an Instrument Technician for a part-time role. You will perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments, troubleshoot issues, and support installation and commissioning of new devices.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and good English communication. Visa sponsorship and travel arrangements are provided; accommodation is not included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician in a similar role.
• Knowledge of instrumentation such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors and flow meters.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Norwegian is a plus.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments according to manufacturer specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with instrumentation
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new instruments
• Collaborate with other technicians and scientists to ensure efficient operation of equipment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

• This is a part-time position with flexible hours
• The salary for this role is 1000$ per month
