Job summary

Prestige Greeters in Svalbard is seeking an Instrument Technician for a part-time role. You will perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments, troubleshoot issues, and support installation and commissioning of new devices.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and good English communication. Visa sponsorship and travel arrangements are provided; accommodation is not included.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician in a similar role.
Knowledge of instrumentation such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors and flow meters.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for instrument maintenance and calibration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in English; Norwegian is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments according to manufacturer specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new instruments.
Collaborate with other technicians and scientists to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
