Part-Time Court Clerk
Under the general supervision of the Court Administrator, the Court Clerk performs a variety of administrative, clerical, customer service, and court-related duties to support the daily operations of the Municipal Court. The Court Clerk is often the first point of contact for the public and must provide helpful, professional, and courteous service. The position processes citations and complaints, maintains court records, enters case information, processes payments, prepares court documents, schedules hearings, and assists with cases from filing through final disposition. This is a part-time position, working 20 - 30 hours per week.
High school diploma or GED required. Three (3) years of customer service, administrative, clerical, or related experience preferred. Previous municipal court or legal office experience is a plus but not required.

The position works primarily in an office and public-facing environment. The employee will regularly interact with the public and may encounter individuals who are upset or frustrated. The position requires professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
