Assignment Description
- Act as the technical lead for rotary equipment packages such as compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other mechanical/static items.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and procurement packages.
- Lead technical evaluations and support procurement during bidding and supplier selection.
- Ensure supplier deliverables comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Follow up on supplier progress, documentation, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Maintain thorough documentation and regularly update progress reporting systems.
- Complete and accurate technical procurement documentation for all equipment packages.
- Timely review and approval of supplier documents and drawings.
- Effective follow-up on fabrication, FAT, and delivery schedules in alignment with project milestones.
- Coordinate and resolve technical issues across disciplines and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to 1–2 junior or supporting engineers assigned to the package.
- Report regularly on progress and risks related to the package scope.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of international standards such as API, ISO, and ASME.
- Knowledge of Danish legislation and offshore regulations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with DNV standards is highly valued but not mandatory.
- Experience with EPC and EPCIC project models and supplier follow-up across engineering and execution phases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines and vendors. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Danish language skills are a plus.
- Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Extensive relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a package engineer within energy or oil & gas projects.
