Job description

Omega 365 Consulting is a leading supplier of highly skilled project personnel in the oil and gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. We offer a wide range of consultant assignments, featuring many of the most exciting projects in Norway and internationally.

Assignment Description
  1. Act as the technical lead for rotary equipment packages such as compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other mechanical/static items.
  2. Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and procurement packages.
  3. Lead technical evaluations and support procurement during bidding and supplier selection.
  4. Ensure supplier deliverables comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
  5. Follow up on supplier progress, documentation, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  6. Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  7. Participate in technical clarification meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.
  8. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
  9. Maintain thorough documentation and regularly update progress reporting systems.
  10. Complete and accurate technical procurement documentation for all equipment packages.
  11. Timely review and approval of supplier documents and drawings.
  12. Effective follow-up on fabrication, FAT, and delivery schedules in alignment with project milestones.
  13. Coordinate and resolve technical issues across disciplines and suppliers.
  14. Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  15. Supervise and provide technical guidance to 1–2 junior or supporting engineers assigned to the package.
  16. Report regularly on progress and risks related to the package scope.
Qualifications
  1. Solid understanding of international standards such as API, ISO, and ASME.
  2. Knowledge of Danish legislation and offshore regulations is advantageous.
  3. Familiarity with DNV standards is highly valued but not mandatory.
  4. Experience with EPC and EPCIC project models and supplier follow-up across engineering and execution phases.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines and vendors. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Danish language skills are a plus.
  6. Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  7. Extensive relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
  8. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a package engineer within energy or oil & gas projects.
