Job summary

Staria in Oslo is seeking a proactive Service Manager to lead our Norwegian accounting team of seven Advisors and to own key customer relationships. You will shape how we deliver services, manage performance, and collaborate with sales to grow in Norway.

The role combines people leadership, customer focus, and service quality. Hybrid work with a modern Oslo office, and regular on-site days. Fluent Norwegian and English are expected, and Authorized Norwegian accountant status is a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in financial administration and a deep understanding of accounting processes in medium-sized and large companies.
• Experience in customer-facing tasks, managing customer relationships, and monitoring profitability.
• Proven leadership experience with ability to develop, motivate, and support accounting professionals.
• Desire to grow with Staria and improve our operating methods continuously.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering performance, collaboration, wellbeing, and professional growth.
• Recruit and onboard new team members as the team expands.
• Maintain direct customer contact and build strong relationships through proactive communication and clear expectations.
• Oversee service delivery, deadlines, risks, and commitments, translating customer needs into actions for the delivery team.
• Guide escalations to smooth resolutions and drive measurable improvements in delivery and continuity.
• Manage customer profitability, contracts, pricing, scope, and invoicing with the Service Director.
• Collaborate with Sales to identify opportunities for service growth, renewals, and contract changes.
