Job summary

Moonshot is recruiting an OSINT Analyst to gather and analyse open-source data and contribute to delivery for a targeted insight project. You will help advance research methods and strengthen our client understanding through robust reporting.

Responsibilities include sourcing and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data, presenting findings to clients, and maintaining large databases. Candidates must pass police and security checks (SC level) and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience countering organised crime, violent extremism, or online harms.
• Experience in analysis/investigation using open-source research (OSINT).
• Ability to scan large data volumes and identify valuable information.
• Ability to source, interpret and analyse quantitative & qualitative data and produce actionable reporting.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to be on-call and work outside regular hours for incidents.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect and analyse information from sources including social media.
• Design quantitative and qualitative methods for large datasets.
• Draft analytical reports with concise, robust findings.
• Meet demanding, high-tempo reporting schedules for clients.
• Present findings to clients and tailor content to their needs.
• Improve processes by identifying data collection barriers and solutions.
• Maintain large databases and review social media for project inputs.
• Draft deep dives into trends and themes identified.
• Share subject matter expertise on online harms across the organisation.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities for new projects.
