This is not a typical analyst role. While data matters, your mission is to drive cost and profitability improvements across high-volume maintenance contracts and Stadler Service growing business in Norway. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, ensure transparency of contract cost and revenue, and turn insights into action.

What You’ll Do

Bridge operations and finance to drive strategic cost and revenue management across railway service contracts.
Partner closely with key Operations Managers to translate operational planning and execution status into accurate financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
Drive projects to improve whole-life cost and profitability across multiple contracts.
Maintain and enhance transparency of cost and revenue data for decision-making.
Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and Sales to deliver results.
Identify root causes of data gaps (e.g., ERP issues) and implement corrective actions, including training plans.
Provide clear financial insights (cost types, revenue, EBIT) into management that are driven by operational developments.
Drive process improvements and ensure data integrity for future initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar
Ability to quickly grasp and work with technical concepts related to trains and maintenance operation.
Fluent in P&L mechanics (cost types, revenue, margin, EBIT).
Proven record of cross‑functional delivery and stakeholder management across multiple departments/countries.
Comfortable with imperfect/unstructured data; can turn it into decisions and actions.
Strong communication; driver mindset with can‑do attitude and high autonomy.
Structured, proactive, accountable; operates effectively from shopfloor to C‑suite.
1-3 years in finance/operations program or project management
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is an advantage.
Fluency in Norwegian and English language is a must.
Nice to have: Experience in maintenance or lifecycle cost management.
