Job summary

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace's SmallSat team seeks an Operational Purchaser to drive purchasing across space programs. You will issue RFQs, manage POs, and build strong supplier partnerships to enable timely, high-quality performance in a demanding, international space environment.

The role requires a proactive, structured candidate with a technical purchasing background and strong English communication skills. Location options include Kongsberg or Skøyen with flexible working possibilities.

Who are you?

• You are a proactive person with a positive attitude. You are structured and systematic.
• Educated within purchasing, supply chain management and/or technical background.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, combined with a high sense of ownership and responsibility and strong attention to detail and quality in execution.
• Good English language skills.

What Will You Do

• You will be responsible for issuing RFQs (Requests for Quote) based on project and line needs, managing the process end-to-end, placing POs, and ensuring close follow-up.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with our supplier base, including monitoring supplier performance and onboarding new suppliers.
• Contribute to developing the purchasing department to meet future growth and challenges.
• Support strategic sourcing activities when needed.
