Job summary

Shearwater GeoServices in Oslo invites two engineering students for Summer 2027 to join the Technology and Innovation Centre in Høvik. You will join a multidisciplinary team to tackle a defined technical problem linked to our technology development, with projects selected based on your background and interests.

You will be encouraged to investigate, test ideas, share findings, and adjust your approach when evidence points elsewhere.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as an engineering or technology student in a relevant discipline
• Interest in real-world systems and problem solving
• Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Capable of explaining reasoning and learning from experiments

Responsibilities

• Develop or test software used in geophysical data acquisition
• Analyse complex data or signals using computational methods
• Explore algorithms, modelling or simulation
• Work with sensors, electronics or embedded systems
• Design, build or test a mechanical or electromechanical prototype
• Investigate performance of technology outside ideal laboratory conditions
