Job summary

Noble Corporation in Norway seeks a Hydraulic Mechanic responsible for inspections and repairs on hydraulic equipment across offshore platforms. You will perform maintenance per the plan, monitor system conditions, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure continued operability.

The role emphasizes safe, compliant execution in line with training and company procedures, with a focus on on-the-job coaching of drilling crews and timely attention to spare parts inventories.

Qualifications

• Background as Craftsman within heavy industries preferred.
• Preferably experience on offshore drilling units.
• Preferably certified Mechanic including an approved apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections, repairs and maintenance of hydraulic installations and equipment.
• Monitoring the condition of hydraulic parts of the drilling equipment.
• Implementation of outstanding recommendations from equipment audits by customer, class or management.
• Carry out periodic maintenance according to the planned maintenance guidelines and coordinate same with supervisors and other departments.
• Maintain equipment manuals, service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts availability.
• Order new spare parts and maintain an adequate stock of spares in order to fulfil maintenance requirements.
• Carry out assigned tasks in a safe manner following company policies and procedures.
• Daily cleaning and housekeeping in workshops and other areas.
• Participate in other relevant maintenance tasks, department safety meetings and on-the-job training of drilling crew.
