Job summary

Aker Solutions seeks Electro Engineers to support offshore projects at Kollsnes. You will coordinate electrical procurement, review supplier documents, and provide engineering inputs for job packages while ensuring HSSE and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include LV system design, short-circuit calculations, and delivering as-builts from offshore activities, with opportunities to advance within a global energy company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience from the oil and gas industry.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements.
• Good experience in supplier co-ordination and follow-up.
• Good experience in as-builts of tags and drawings.
• Good communication skills and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Follow up of Electrical Procurement Packages.
• Coordinate with suppliers and review documents and drawings.
• Engineering inputs to job packages.
• As-builts of supplier drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore.
• Electrical system engineering for LV consumers and switchboards.
• Electrical calculations e.g. short circuit calculations.
• Report to Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager all matters of importance.
• Quality and HSSE check in own projects.
• Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.
• Offshore survey - field instrument engineering, system engineering, automation and control engineering, Fire & Gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, field instrumentation and valves.
