Job summary

Marlink AS is seeking graduates to join our Maritime Network Operations team as Network Support Engineers. You will ensure world-class support for managed maritime services, investigating issues, tracing root causes, and delivering effective workarounds.

You will work in a 24/7 shift rotation from the Network Operations Center and communicate clearly with customers while developing expertise in Fortinet and Cisco environments.

Qualifications

• Technical education at university level or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Excellent general IT knowledge.
• Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Level technical support based on events from monitoring systems or faults reported by customers (as part of the incident management process).
• Work in a 24/7 shift rotation in the Maritime Network Operations Center
• Create and process requests from customers
• Demonstrate technical proficiency, ability to work independently, quality focus, attention to detail and a drive for ensuring customer satisfaction
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support and troubleshooting processes and procedures

Eik Teleport is the primary Maritime hub in Marlink, the Teleport is located in Lund municipality, Rogaland Fylke, Norway and currently employs about 90 people. Eik Teleport is situated 13 km from Moi, the administrative center in Lund municipality. In November 2025, we upgraded our Eik Teleport facility in Norway with modern, high-tech office space for our Network Operations Centre. The facility now serves as a broader Managed Services Support Centre, supporting the growing range of digital systems used across our maritime customer base.

We are looking for recent graduates to join our Maritime Network Operations team as Network Support Engineers. In this role, you will make sure our commercial customers get world-class support for our managed maritime services. You will investigate and resolve technical issues by bringing together information from multiple sources, digging into the root cause, and finding the best solution or workaround. Throughout the process, you will keep customers informed and engaged. To succeed, you need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with confidence in communicating with customers. Main Task & Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Level technical support based on events from monitoring systems or faults reported by customers (as part of the incident management process). The 2nd level Network Support team is working mainly with Fortinet and Cisco solutions, but also with 4G/5G modems and managed WIFI solutions.
• Work in a 24/7 shift rotation in the Maritime Network Operations Center
• Create and process requests from customers
• Demonstrate technical proficiency, ability to work independently, quality focus, attention to detail and a drive for ensuring customer satisfaction
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support and troubleshooting processes and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Technical education on university level or equivalent
• Knowledge of IP, Networking & Routing
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills
• Excellent general IT knowledge
• Driver’s License

Preferred (but not required) Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of Fortinet or Cisco solutions
• Knowledge of Cyber Security
• Knowledge of WIFI and mobile 4G/5G/LTE networks & services.
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Experience using AI tools to support troubleshooting, analysis, or problem solving
