Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Level II NDT Inspector to perform radiographic and other NDT inspections, focusing on detecting corrosion under insulation (CUI). The role requires adherence to EN ISO 9712/PCN standards, calibration discipline, and clear documentation of findings.

You will work onshore and offshore facilities in Norway, with both rotational and daytime schedules. Training on OpenVision RTR will be provided, and safety is paramount in high-risk environments.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level II EN ISO 9712/PCN or equivalent.
• Experience with radiographic and other NDT methods.
• Ability to interpret inspection data and report clearly.

Responsibilities

• Follow defined testing procedures and relevant standards to ensure high-quality results.

• Ensure proper calibration, handling, and maintenance of equipment.
• Mentor Level I personnel during field operations.
• Comply with radiation safety procedures and exposure tracking.
• Carry out inspections in high-risk areas according to safety protocols.

Intertek is seeking a skilled and certified NDT Inspector with Level II certification —preferably in RT2 or VT2—to support our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations in the oil and gas sector.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections using OpenVision RTR equipment. Manufacturer-provided training will be available.

Open roles for both rotational and daytime work.
Location:Onshore and offshore facilities within Norway.

Role Overview

As a Level II NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections — primarily radiographic, but also visual or other relevant methods — with a strong focus on detecting and assessing corrosion under insulation (CUI). The role requires technical knowledge, procedural discipline, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using OpenVision RTR and other NDT methods as applicable
• Conduct CUI evaluations and apply understanding of materials and corrosion mechanisms
• Follow defined testing procedures and relevant standards to ensure consistent, high-quality results
• Interpret inspection data and provide clear, well-documented reports
• Communicate findings effectively with engineers, supervisors, and clients
• Ensure proper calibration, handling, and maintenance of equipment
• Mentor and oversee NDT Level I personnel during field operations
• Comply with all radiation safety procedures, including boundary control and exposure tracking
• Carry out inspections in high-risk areas in accordance with safety protocols

Qualifications Required

• Valid Level II certification in accordance with EN ISO 9712 (NORDTEST) or PCN — preferably RT2 or VT2
• Valid Norwegian Radiation Protection or UK Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification
• Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, spoken and written

Qualifications Preferred

• NS 415 certification
• IRATA Rope Access certification
• Experience working in a process plant or similar industrial environment
• Additional NDT methods or qualifications will be considered
