Job summary

Intertek seeks a skilled NDT Inspector with Level II certification to support our oil and gas NDT operations in Norway. You will perform radiographic inspections, CUI evaluations, and other NDT methods on onshore and offshore facilities, using OpenVision RTR equipment.

Training will be provided and you will mentor Level I staff, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and quality in high‑risk environments. Fluent in Norwegian and English; rotational and daytime shifts available.

Qualifications

• Valid Level II certification required (EN ISO 9712/NORDTEST or PCN).
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Experience with radiographic inspections and CUI evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using OpenVision RTR and other NDT methods as applicable
• Conduct CUI evaluations and assess materials and corrosion mechanisms
• Follow defined testing procedures and standards to ensure high-quality results
• Interpret inspection data and document reports clearly
• Communicate findings with engineers, supervisors, and clients
• Ensure calibration, handling, and maintenance of equipment
• Mentor Level I personnel during field operations
• Comply with radiation safety procedures and exposure tracking
• Carry out inspections in high-risk areas following safety protocols

Job description

Intertek is seeking a skilled and certified NDT Inspector with Level II certification -preferably in RT2 or VT2 - to support our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections using OpenVision RTR equipment. Manufacturer-provided training will be available.

Open roles for both rotational and daytime work.

Location: Onshore and offshore facilities within Norway.

Role Overview

As a Level II NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections - primarily radiographic, but also visual or other relevant methods - with a strong focus on detecting and assessing corrosion under insulation (CUI). The role requires technical knowledge, procedural discipline, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using OpenVision RTR and other NDT methods as applicable
• Conduct CUI evaluations and apply understanding of materials and corrosion mechanisms
• Follow defined testing procedures and relevant standards to ensure consistent, high-quality results
• Interpret inspection data and provide clear, well-documented reports
• Communicate findings effectively with engineers, supervisors, and clients
• Ensure proper calibration, handling, and maintenance of equipment
• Mentor and oversee NDT Level I personnel during field operations
• Comply with all radiation safety procedures, including boundary control and exposure tracking
• Carry out inspections in high-risk areas in accordance with safety protocols

Qualifications Required

• Valid Level II certification in accordance with EN ISO 9712 (NORDTEST) or PCN - preferably RT2 or VT2
• Valid Norwegian Radiation Protection or UK Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification
• Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, spoken and written

Qualifications Preferred

• NS 415 certification
• IRATA Rope Access certification
• Experience working in a process plant or similar industrial environment
• Additional NDT methods or qualifications will be considered
