MHWirth/HMH is seeking for a Drilling Equipment Overhaul Project Manager

Our main hubs for drilling equipment is in Kristiansand, Norway, Additionally, Our network of international offices and subsidiaries stretches across the USA, the UK, Singapore, India, Brazil, China, Azerbaijan, Australia, Germany, Norway, Chile, Mexico, Netherlands and UAE.

MHWirth Azerbaijan was registered in 2002 and provides installation commissioning and operation support services for drilling rigs in Caspian region

We currently have an opening for the following permanent positions:

The work will include the following

  • Oversee project plans including business, production and/or organizational priorities
  • Identify/advise to resolve problematic issues which could affect project deliverables
  • Oversee the management of budgets and reports to inform progress internally and/or externally to HMH
  • Ensure commercial terms, specifications and conditions of contract are followed
  • Ensure long-lead items are identified and procured in a timely manner
  • Attend required meetings with customer and inter-company
  • Coordinate with QA to ensure quality plan is followed per contractual specifications
  • Manage change order process
  • Assist the Overhaul & Modification Manager to set the yearly strategic objectives
  • Fully support the company’s yearly strategic objectives
  • Interact with customers and other HMH personnel in a professional manner
  • Complete all work in compliance with company and customer’s policies and procedures for Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE)
  • Stay current on information contained in Product and Safety Bulletins
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with client personnel
  • Employee may be requested to operate company vehicle for business purposes
  • Perform any and all additional duties as assigned in a timely and professional manner
  • Possess knowledge of global contract administration practices
  • Project Delivery
    • Status Reporting as per requirements
    • Identify major deviations and advise to resolve any problems
    • Management of budgets
    • Close out reports and hand-over documentation after delivery of any required goods and services to customer

Competence Requirements

  • B.S Degree in Engineering Discipline
  • Two (2)+ Years Project Experience
  • Conversant with engineering, procurement and manufacturing systems, practices and processes
  • Ability to lead, direct, motivate and empower
  • Provides authoritative advice and expertise to diagnose, investigate and solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Analyze “Big Picture” to identify risk and implement corrective action
  • Knowledge of business administration, management and financial principles
  • Ability to perform detailed cost analysis
  • Ability to understand drawings and specifications
  • Ability to perform as a technical specialist
  • Ability to develop schedules
  • Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
  • Proficient in written and reading comprehension of English
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • Ability to take initiative and be accountable for own decisions and actions
  • Ability to focus on and bring to conclusion to multiple tasks
  • Ability to perform as a group lead
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Ability to pre-empt situations and react positively

  • Ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels to coordinate tasks effectively between different Departments
