Job summary

Folk AS is seeking a Mechanic to join our client on a 8-month assignment in Bergen. The role covers assembly and testing of VX meters, AW and mechanical components, with involvement in developing test equipment and ensuring strict procedure sign-off.

You will report on procedures, maintain HSE, quality, and ethics during all activities, and participate in general safety and toolbox talks as required.

Qualifications

• Certified mechanic or equivalent by work experience and training.
• Crane certificate is required.
• Forklift/Cherry picker/OLF certification is an advantage.
• Flange course certification is an advantage.
• Pressure testing course certification is an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of rotating machinery (assembly and testing).
• Experience and knowledge of swivel systems (assembly and testing).
• Experience and knowledge of pressure and leak testing.
• Experience and knowledge in the use of high torque tools.
• Knowledge of static and rotating sealing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and test of Vx meters and AW.
• Assembly and technical developments of test equipment.
• Reporting and procedure follow up, ensure each step is signed accordingly.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox activity as required.
• Maintain a strong focus on HSE during tests and assembly, especially high-pressure systems and rotating machinery.
• Ensure high focus on HSE and Quality per company policy across operations.
• Ensure high focus on ethics per company policy.
• Assemble mechanical components in line with procedures.
