Job summary

poLight is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join its R&D team in Tønsberg, Norway. You will drive mechanical development and optimisation of next-generation optical products and systems from concept through design to production, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.

You should have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong experience with DFM, prototyping and 2D/3D CAD, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience designing complex mechanical systems or products.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and prototyping.
• Good 2D/3D CAD experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Relocation and visa support for international candidates.
• Experience with micro-mechanical or micro-actuation solutions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical development and optimisation of innovative optical products and systems from concept through design to production.
• Collaborating closely with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
• Working as part of multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, optical and systems engineering.
