Job summary

Sisk Group is seeking a Commissioning Lead to join our Data Centre team in Norway. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee the commissioning phase to ensure systems meet design specs and industry standards, while collaborating with engineering, operations, and construction teams.

You will drive FATs/SATs, safety, reliability, and documentation, guiding pre-commissioning, testing, and handover to operations with strong leadership and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with commissioning software and methodologies.
• Certifications such as PMP or CCP are a plus.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IEEE, IEC.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to align commissioning activities with project milestones.
• Define and allocate resources for commissioning activities.
• Review project designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure commissioning requirements are met.
• Lead and participate in FATs and SATs.
• Ensure systems are tested for safety, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and address technical issues during commissioning.
• Oversee onsite commissioning activities with health, safety, and environmental policy adherence.
• Direct pre-commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification.
• Supervise the transition of completed systems to operations with thorough documentation and training.
• Maintain records of commissioning activities and generate detailed reports.

Overview

We are seeking a Commissioning Lead to join our Data Centre team in Norway.

The Commissioning Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the commissioning phase of a project. This includes ensuring systems, equipment, and processes are installed, tested, and functioning according to design specifications and industry standards. The role involves collaboration with engineering, operations, and construction teams to meet project objectives safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures in collaboration with project stakeholder
• Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to align commissioning activities with project milestones.
• Define and allocate resources, including manpower, tools, and materials, for commissioning activities.
• Review project designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure commissioning requirements are met.
• Lead and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
• Ensure systems are tested for safety, performance, reliability, and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Identify and address technical issues during commissioning, troubleshooting problems,
• Oversee onsite commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Direct pre-commissioning, functional testing, and performance verification of systems.
• Supervise the transition of completed systems to operations, ensuring all documentation and training are delivered.
• Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test results, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Generate and submit detailed commissioning reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
• Ensure as-built documentation is updated and final system certifications are completed.

Experience

• Strong technical knowledge in [specific domain, e.g., mechanical, electrical, or control systems].
• Experience in commissioning, project management, or construction with Data centre experience .
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Effective communication and leadership skills for managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with commissioning software/tools and methodologies.
• Certifications such as PMP, Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), or industry-specific credentials are a plus.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IEEE, IEC, or others relevant to the sector).
