Job summary

IKM Consultants AS seeks an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer for offshore projects based in Bergen. You will perform MC/Field Engineer duties, monitor installation progress, manage testing, and oversee client handover with documentation control.

The role requires 3–5 years of offshore/large-scale facility experience, proficiency with ProCoSys and PIMS365, and valid offshore certificates. English language skills are essential. Rotation-based schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical diploma in electrical/automation preferred.
• Vocational certificate in automation or electrical fields required with field experience.
• 3–5 years offshore or large-scale onshore facility experience expected.
• Experience with MC/Field Engineer tasks and following procedures.
• Proficiency with ProCoSys and PIMS365 systems.
• Knowledge of SIMOCOD and standard energy sector processes.
• Valid Basic EX, FSE, Work Permit/SJA and Fall Protection certificates.
• Offshore medical and safety certificate is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical Completion (MC) and Field Engineer duties in an offshore environment.
• Follow up on installation activities and monitor progress.
• Manage system completion, conduct punch rounds, and carry out testing.
• Oversee the handover process to the client and manage red-line mark-ups of technical documentation.

Required expertise

• An engineering degree or a technical college diploma in electrical engineering or automation is preferred.
• A minimum of a vocational certificate in automation or electrical fields, combined with documented experience as a field engineer, is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience from offshore or large-scale onshore facilities.
• Proven experience with MC/Field Engineer tasks and working according to procedures.
• Proficiency with ProCoSys and PIMS365 systems.
• Knowledge of SIMOCOD.
• Familiarity with standard energy sector work processes.
• Valid certificates for: Basic EX, FSE (High/Low Voltage with first aid), Work Permit/SJA, and Fall Protection.
• Must hold a valid offshore medical and safety certificate.

Work schedule: 14/28 rotation
